After living in Avon with my family for over 10 years, I have grown to know and come to love our beautiful town. My parents and I immigrated from South Asia to the United States when I was 5 years old. From that point on, they had instilled in me that whenever I had the chance, I need to find ways to give back to this nation for not only welcoming us but for giving us so much opportunity. At every turn in my life, I have done this.
After graduating from NYU with a B.A. in Psychology, I got my Master’s degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University. After completing my residency training in NY, I got my DDS degree from NYU College of Dentistry and received two specialty certificates, one in Endodontics and the other in Implantology at NYUCD. I became a Full Time Clinical Assistant Professor, Director of the Honors Program in Endodontics at NYUCD and a private practitioner. After meeting my husband, a Veteran of the United States Air Force where he dutifully served by working on nuclear warhead missiles, we moved to Avon and raised our daughter, who loves all the recreational activities our community offers. Once again, I have the opportunity for me to give back to this nation and to our towns of Avon and Canton.
My decision to run to represent District 17, as your voice would be an honor and a privilege. I need your support in reaching 150 signatures on donation forms to qualify for public funding. Any amount you are comfortable donating from $5 and above, would help (including from each spouse and child over 14 years of age, if possible)
This decision to run allows me to plan and pursue policies that will protect, benefit, and reflect our collective community values by demonstrating that the policies she supports are hurting our town, threatening our quality of life, restricting our local control and our voices, and depriving our children of a traditional academic education. Avon and Canton are historic towns where people move to and invest in their future because of its scenic landscape, the schools, the neighborhoods, and that sense of community. The bad policies supported by my opponent leads to financial and safety concerns for our families, our neighbors, our small businesses, and our community overall. Thank you for your time and would appreciate your support,
